Andys trio or quartet are energetic and spontaneous and have been wowing audiences across Australia for nearly a decade. At 27 years of age, Andy is what you’d call an “old soul”. His love for jazz and swing started at the tender age of 10, and since then Andy has developed into an accomplished and well respected performing artist. Combining the elegance of jazz classics with the fun and energy of party hits.
Can you imagine your guests enjoying the sultry sounds of a roving saxophonist as they mingle outside for pre-dinner drinks? Or how about the classical elegance and emotion of a flute or oboe solo as you walk down the aisle? Or what about having your own little "Michael Buble" entertaining your corporate guests and clients in style? And let's not forget about the all-time classic hits that you'll need when it's time to dance the night away!
Many people fall into the trap of hiring a string quartet for a wedding ceremony, a roving artist for pre-dinner drinks, and then a costly four or five piece band for the reception. Take a step back and consider how much time, effort and expense you would save by simply booking Andy to do the job of all three entertainment options.
Andy has performed around two hundred times a year for the past ten years: everything from weddings to corporate launches, nighclubs to bowls clubs, international resorts to private residences. Each performance is special, and each performance is tailored to meet your vision of the perfect event.

Inspiration and repertoire comes from the swing of Louis Armstrong and Oscar Peterson, standards and show tunes of Frank Sinatra, smooth and subtle bossa nova of Stan Getz and Antonio Carlos Jobim and the cool and groove of Miles Davis and George Benson. Jazz 56A -NSW

Three bands in one is how to describe this band.

Other words and phrases that describe the band are engaging, dynamic, punctual, thoroughly professional, energetic, versatile, entertaining and always fun!

This band is extremely versatile.

As guests arrive, the band can start out by playing in their roving acoustic mode. Using an old brass megaphone to sing through, Slide takes the band back to the early days of jazz, performing from the repertoires of the likes of Louis Armstrong and Fats Waller. In this mode, the band is completely portable. Amplifiers are not required, so the band can move around and create quite an atmosphere as they engage your guests with their personality and style. In this mode they are perfect for outdoors (as electricity is not required) and being all acoustic means that the music never gets too loud.

Over dinner, enjoy the cool crooning sounds of jazz, lounge, swing and bossa nova. The band will be quiet enough not to intrude on your guest’s conversations, yet they will contribute to setting a sophisticated ambience to the room. Repertoire includes songs made famous by Michael Buble, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Burt Bacharach, Chet Baker and Harry Connick Jnr.

After dinner, let the dancing begin as the band morphs into their alter ego as an energetic and vibrant party band, playing from their pop, rock and dance repertoire. In this incarnation, the band plays songs from The Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Kinks, James Brown, Pink, Scissor Sisters, The Killers, Hunters and Collectors, U2, Robbie Williams, Lenny Kravitz, Chili Peppers, Sneaky Sound System, Smashmouth, Queen, Billy Joel, Coldplay, Kiss, Powderfinger, Jamiroquai, Abba, Jet, Beastie Boys, Hoodoo Gurus, AC/DC, Bob Marley and Elvis (just to mention a few).

They are experienced entertainers who read and connect with their audience. They are masters at creating the right “vibe” at the right time. The band’s extensive repertoire consists of over two hundred songs.

Jazz 308A-1920's authentic Jazz-Melbourne

We are a band from Melbourne that has been in operation for 3 years professionally playing locally and interstate the music from the 1920's.
We are 8 piece. All university graduates in music. Play strictly professional engagements. We have experience in film, radio, theater and have released our own album independently.
The act involves the 8 of us performing popular music from the 1920s in the actual style of the time. Wearing period correct evening attire and using vintage instrumentation to produce a highly authentic yet original sound.

With a dedication to accuracy and musical brilliance being a primary focus, the boys make every attempt at breathing new life into what was some of the most exuberant and sophisticated music of the 20th Century. Despite the usual misconception and mystification as to what 'really' went on in that decade, and what was really heard over the then brand new 'wireless'.

Traditional New Orleans

These programs can also be modified, either in terms of time or variations in size of the group, to suit particular occasions.

On the many occasions we have performed at more formal functions, such as cabarets, weddings and dinner dances, we have catered for the particular needs of the audience by being able to present small group combinations in the early stages of the proceedings. This is particularly important while guests are settling in and getting to know one another. As the evening progresses, then the band builds the momentum, "reading" the crowd and responding as appropriate.Vocals included.
