As a commercial artist by trade, he began his work in layout and design and paste-up (pre-computers!) before moving into magazine design and computer graphic design. In his early career, he drew a host of products for black-and-white bromide reproduction in newspapers and catalogues. He then reproduced pictorial headings and diagrams and illos for magazine work.
He drifted into an administrative career but always maintained his design work, namely black-and-white art and caricature, in which he’s always had a passion – a form of social documentary, if you like.

• He can perform seated or roving.
• He draws approx. 15 people per hr and achieves a great likeness.
• He is a diligent and accommodating artist.
