We are a band from Melbourne that has been in operation for 3 years professionally playing locally and interstate the music from the 1920’s.
We are 8 piece. All university graduates in music. Play strictly professional engagements. We have experience in film, radio, theater and have released our own album independently.
The act involves the 8 of us performing popular music from the 1920s in the actual style of the time. Wearing period correct evening attire and using vintage instrumentation to produce a highly authentic yet original sound.
With a dedication to accuracy and musical brilliance being a primary focus, the boys make every attempt at breathing new life into what was some of the most exuberant and sophisticated music of the 20th Century. Despite the usual misconception and mystification as to what ‘really’ went on in that decade, and what was really heard over the then brand new ‘wireless’.

A six piece Dixieland Jazz Band based in Melbourne, Victoria. Our extensive repertoire enables us to present an extremely wide and varied range of programs, including:-
Traditional New Orleans
Tribute to Louis Armstrong
Swing era selections
Roaring Twenties
Fats Waller
Benny Goodman etc.
These programs can also be modified, either in terms of time or variations in size of the group, to suit particular occasions.
On the many occasions we have performed at more formal functions, such as cabarets, weddings and dinner dances, we have catered for the particular needs of the audience by being able to present small group combinations in the early stages of the proceedings. This is particularly important while guests are settling in and getting to know one another. As the evening progresses, then the band builds the momentum, “reading” the crowd and responding as appropriate.Vocals included.
